Matthew Richardson reacts to Tasmania getting their own AFL team

AFL great and proud Tasmanian Matthew Richardson has reacted to the historic news announced today, with the state of Tasmania to get their own AFL team and become the 19th team in the league.

Richardson was born and grew up in Devonport and has been a big advocator for an AFL team in the state.

“I just want to congratulate everyone whose been involved in this, going right back through the years that have championed the cause, they’d be feeling very, very proud tonight,” Richardson said.
