Matthew Lloyd starting to get sick of off-the-ball niggle

Matthew Lloyd admits he’s starting to get sick of off-the-ball niggle and the time may have come for action.

It follows another weekend full of incidents, with Bernie Vince and Nick Robertson among those in the gun.

Sportsday hosts Gerard Healy and Dwayne Russell expressed their annoyance at the amount of off-the-ball pushing and shoving earlier in the season.

Lloyd didn’t agree at the time. But he’s started to change his mind.

“I know you and Dwayne were really strong three weeks ago about how niggle has got out of control and I was old school and thought no, it’s fine, but I’m coming around to what you guys said,” the former Essendon champ said on 3AW.

“Every week it’s going on and on.”
