Matthew Lloyd says Shane Warne made a great point about North Melbourne

Matthew Lloyd has detailed a salient point cricket legend Shane Warne made about this week’s North Melbourne saga.

Lloyd ran into Warne at a charity event on Thursday, where the pair discussed the week’s events at Arden Street, which saw Brent Harvey and three other veterans axed for next year.

‘I didn’t mind this point he (Warne) made,’ Lloyd said on 3AW Football.

‘He said if Boomer Harvey and these players demanded an answer, then why didn’t the club say ? ‘you’re probably not going to like it ? you’re going to hear from us ? but we don’t want it to derail our finals series.’

‘So, for the betterment of our football club and finals series, we’re not going to give that answer yet.’
