Matthew Lloyd responds to reports James Hird could return as Essendon coach

Matthew Lloyd has responded to reports his former teammate James Hird could return to Essendon as coach.

Mark Robinson told 3AW Football on Friday there were senior figures entertaining the idea of trying to lure the club great back to the role he eventually left in 2015 on the back of the 2012 supplements saga.

Lloyd was asked for his thoughts on whether it’d be a good fit after the Bombers missed out on Alastair Clarkson.
