Matthew Lloyd “concerned” about Geelong’s recruiting
Matthew Lloyd is concerned about the direct of Geelong’s recruiting under list boss Stephen Wells.
The Essendon great said the Cats become a powerhouse on the back of strong drafting and urged them to re-asses their approach.
“In 2009 when they won a premiership, it was only Brad Ottens who was a gun recruit,” Lloydy said on 3AW Football.
“Fast-forward to now and I feel as if their strategy is just picking off players from other clubs and it just hasn’t got them anywhere.
“To hear this week they’re going after Gary Rohan, that really worried me.”
