Massive rebound in domestic business travel

Domestic business travel is almost back to pre-pandemic levels.

Business travel spending in August reached 92 per cent of the pre-COVID level.

Workplace expert Michelle Gibbings says some tasks are best done face-to-face.

“If you’re looking at things like team dynamics, all that sort of work where you try to come together and solve problems, all that sort of work often that is better done when you’re all in a room together,” she told Ross and Russel.

“When you’re online is you miss some of those subtle cues that people give when they’re in the same room.”
