Maribyrnong residents are being warned to brace for the possibility of more flooding.

On Monday, SES chief officer Tim Wiebusch told Neil Mitchell there “could certainly be another instance” where the Maribyrnong rises again.

“There’s certainly every possibility for all of our river systems that we’ve seen in flood in recent times to reach those levels again if we see the right rainfall on the right days,” he warned.

Maribyrnong resident Antoinette Bufalino says residents are just “living with that fear”.

“I’m going to stay at the house because I need to see it for myself, if I’m not getting any warnings I need to see it,” she told Neil Mitchell.
