Marcus Bontempelli reveals Luke Beveridge’s unique pre-season theme

Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge is known for using different themes to help motivate his players.

Ahead of the 2025 campaign, the club went on a pre-season camp in Mooloolaba and according to captain Marcus Bontempelli, the coach once again had a left-field way of motivating his players.

“The theme landed up being an elephant type storyline,” Bontempelli told 3AW Football.

The Dogs skipper played just 11 minutes of his side’s pre-season clash against Hawthorn on Thursday night, before being withdrawn as a precaution after reporting calf tightness.
