Man shot in Bentleigh East

A 21-year-old man has been followed home and shot in the chest in Bentleigh East. 

Paramedics responded to reports of a shooting on South Road just after 6.30am. 

A man suffered injuries to his torso and was taken to the Alfred hospital in a serious condition. 

Police said there were people inside the home at the time of the shooting but they were not injured. 

It’s believed three men ambushed the victim and fled the scene in a silver sedan.
