Majak Daw to undergo surgery on “very serious injuries to hips and pelvic region” after Bolte Bridge fall
North Melbourne player Majak Daw will undergo surgery on “very serious” hip and pelvic injuries he sustained in a fall from the Bolte Bridge last night.
Daw, 27, was rescued by police and firefighters after the fall near Lorimer Street, about 11pm last night.
Police and MFB firefighters attended the scene and found a man “at the edge of the water” with non-life threatening injuries.
He remains at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.
North Melbourne chairman Ben Buckley said Daw is in stable condition and is expected to be operated on in the next few days.
