Man in unicorn mask attempts to rob service stations in Melbourne’s outer east

Police are hunting a man who attempted to rob two service stations in Melbourne’s outer east wearing a dress up rubber unicorn head.

The man was accompanied by another male wearing a white t-shirt wrapped ‘ninja style’ around his face around 2am on Friday. 

The pair wielded baseball bats and tried to gain entry to a service station at Kilysth and another at Upwey.

They were unsuccessful in doing anything but chipping the windows and took off in an unknown vehicle.
