Man in stand-off with police at Epping

Police are attempting to negotiate with a man with a gun in Melbourne’s north.

There are reports a woman and children are also in the home on Cooper Street at Epping.

Channel 7 cameraman Matthew Burchett has told 3AW there’s up to 30 police cars at the scene.

“Police have got the street shutdown,” said Matthew.

“I can’t confirm who or how many are inside.”

Police are expected to be on scene for some time and road diversions are in place.
