Man trying to flee gang gets hit by car on King Street

A man has been hit by a car on King Street as he tried to flee a group trying to rob him.

Police said the victim, aged in his 20s, had been assaulted by four men before he was struck in the CBD around 3.30am on Friday.

He was taken to the Royal Melbourne hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle did not stop – the man’s attackers also fled.
