Man drowns off Mordialloc Pier

A man has drowned after falling off Mordialloc Pier.

The incident occurred in shocking conditions around 3am on Monday.

The man was fishing when he fell into the water.

Police said others on the pier came to his aid, using fishing poles and nets, but couldn’t reach the man.
