Man driving campervan arrested dramatically in CBD

A Tasmanian man has been arrested in dramatic fashion in Melbourne’s CBD.

He was driving a white campervan erratically down Swanston Street before his arrest.

Police swarmed on the man shortly before 2.30pm on Tuesday.

Swanston Street was shut between Flinders Lane and Flinders Street while the incident unfolded.

Police believe the car was involved in some minor collisions in the Richmond area earlier on Tuesday.

The man will be taken to the police station for a drug assessment.

Nobody was injured.
