Man dead after fight in Gippsland

A fight between two men in Gippsland has turned fatal.

The men, who are believed to have been known to each other, were seen fighting on Main Street in Foster around 5.45pm on Wednesday.

Paramedics treated one man, believed to be aged in his 30s, but he later died.

A second man was arrested at the scene and is assisting homicide detectives with their enquiries.

It’s believed the pair were known to each other.
