Man charged with murders of Russell Hill and Carol Clay
A 55-year-old pilot has been charged with the murders of Russell Hill and Carol Clay.
Mr Hill and Ms Clay vanished while camping in the Wonnangatta Valley in the Victorian Alpine National Park in March 2020.
Greg Lynn was arrested at a campsite in Gippsland’s remote Arbuckle Junction on Monday evening in relation to the disappearance of the pair.
Mr Lynn has been charged with two counts of murder and will appear at Sale Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
Police have identified a crime scene within the great alpine area which will be examined in coming days.
“Our efforts to locate the remains of Russell and Carol will continue,” Victoria Police Assistant Commissioner Bob Hill said.
“While this arrest is testament to months of dedication and tireless work by missing persons squad detectives, the investigation is far from over.”
