Man charged following fatal stabbing in Melbourne’s north-west

A man has been charged over the fatal stabbing of a woman in Melbourne’s north-west.

The woman was found dead with suspected stab wounds at a property on Sutherland Avenue in Melton South around 1:30pm yesterday afternoon.

A 42-year-old man has been charged with one count of murder and has been remanded in custody to face the Melbourne Magistrates Court today.

Detectives believe he was known to the woman and they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
