Man charged after shocking carjacking outside hospital

A man has been charged with several offences after an alleged carjacking outside Berwick Hospital on Wednesday morning.

The 25-year-old of no fixed address is alleged to have entered a vehicle as a woman was walking with her husband into the hospital.

The man is then alleged to have struck the woman as she attempted to stop him from driving away in her own vehicle, with the woman now in the hospital with critical injuries.
