Man arrested after woman hit and pinned by car at Truganina

A man is in custody after a woman was hit and pinned by a car at Truganina.

The woman suffered serious injuries and was flown to hospital following the incident.

Police said she was standing next to a taxi, near some road works on Leakes Road, at about 2.30am on Monday.

Another car has then hit her, pinning the woman against a safety barrier.

Police said the driver fled, but a nearby tow-truck driver managed to take down the registration.

A man was later arrested and has been questioned by police.
