‘Making it up as he goes’: Former Republican congressman slams Trump over tariffs

A Republican and former congressman has slammed Donald Trump over his tariffs, telling 3AW Breakfast the US President has “no plan”.

John LeBoutillier says Trump has done a “complete 180” by putting a pause on tariffs for the next 90 days after telling the public he knew what he was doing.

“If you’re confused, what do you think people here think,” he said.

“Nobody knew it was going to happen, he’s making it up as he goes,” he added.
