Major delays after Belgrave-Lilydale line partially suspended

EARLIER
There are major delays for thousands of commuters on the Belgrave-Lilydale train line after an early morning signal failure.
There are no trains between Camberwell and Ringwood due to the equipment fault, with about 80 buses being brought in to shuttle passengers.
But many passengers have been unable to get on a replacement bus and have been forced to drive to stations on other lines to get into the city.
Metro advises they have crews on site working to rectify the issue but delays up to 90 minutes expected until 9am.
There are 25 buses are currently in operation with another 27 buses expected to arrive within the hour.
