Major deal struck between Virgin and HNA Group

A massive deal between Virgin and China’s HNA Group was struck today, which will see the HNA group take a 13% stake of Virgin.

Speaking with Ross Greenwood, Virgin CEO John Borghetti is excited about the announcement.

‘The deal that we announced today is all about growth,’ Mr Borghetti said.

‘Here is a market of inbound tourists that has been growing at almost 28% every year since 2010 and has now reach over 1 million people a year coming into Australia.’

‘We’re talking huge, huge numbers here.’
