Lucy Zelic calls on Tony Gustavsson to be sacked after ‘disappointing’ Matildas campaign

Football commentator Lucy Zelic has called on Matildas head coach Tony Gustavsson to be sacked after a “disappointing” Olympics campaign.

Zelic wasn’t impressed by the conservative approach by the Matildas in their 2-1 loss to USA overnight, which saw the women’s national side knocked out of the tournament before the quarter-finals.

“I’d be very comfortable in saying that I’m prepared to see him go,” Zelic told Eddie Summerfield on The Olympics Today podcast.
