Luba Grigorovitch wants Victorian government to run metropolitan trains and trams
The Victorian head of the Rail, Tram and Bus Union is leading a push for the government to take control of the metropolitan public transport system.
Luba Grigorovitch told Tom Elliott the state was currently wasting money using private contractors.
‘Over $10 billion in revenue has been paid to both Metro Trains and Yarra Trams by Victorians over the last contract,’ she said on 3AW Drive.
‘That’s $10 billion that should have been spent on Victorians health, education and fixing our own public transport.’
