Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been taken to task on 3AW this morning, after making an “incredibly offensive” Tourette’s comment towards Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor during Question Time yesterday.

President of the Tourette Syndrome Association of Australia, Mandy Maysey, told Tom Elliott the comment was a “real low blow”.

“To be using Tourette’s or any disability as an insult or something of ridicule is horrible,” Ms Maysey said.

The Prime Minister has since apologised for the comment, but Ms Maysey isn’t buying it.

“I don’t think it was a sincere apology … it just seemed like somebody else had written it for him,” she said.
