Locals plead for ‘awful’ intersection to be fixed after horror bus crash

Eynesbury locals say the stretch of road where a truck collided with a school bus on Tuesday afternoon is a problem area, and it needs urgent attention.

There were 45 children on the bus when it collided with a truck and overturned at the corner of Exford and Murphys roads in Eynesbury. Seven remain in hospital, with one in intensive care and several who have undergone amputations.

Chelsea, an Eynesbury local and paramedic, says she’s “been saying for years” there would be horrific crashes on that stretch of road, and truck driver Joe says he’s seen some appalling behaviour by drivers there.
