Local uprising to bring back the Point Lonsdale gnomes

The infamous Point Lonsdale gnomes are back in town.

Last week Neil Mitchell uncovered a groundswell of support to bring back some garden gnomes artfully placed at a roundabout in the area.

They’d been removed by the council, but now they’re back at a nearby roundabout in Queenscliff.

Local resident Georgie Clegg told Neil the council can’t contain the area’s “grey power”.

“I think it’s wonderful that the local community have got behind all this,” Ms Clegg said.

“I hope they’ll be returned to the CBD of Point Lonsdale – it’d be an absolute revolt!”
