Lethal scoffs at ‘cowardly’ claim from Luke Beveridge

Leigh Matthews has rubbished suggestions from Luke Beveridge that a bump from Mark Hutchings on Jason Johannisen was “cowardly.”

The Western Bulldogs coach was left far from impressed following the incident during Saturday’s loss to the Eagles.

“That was a terrible choice of words, to use the word coward,” Matthews said on Sportsday.

“He didn’t clean him up. He bumped him in the back.

“He was OK. It was a free kick, but nobody thinks it was reportable.”
