Leigh Matthews says Brisbane young gun could live up to lofty comparison this year

Leigh Matthews admits it’s comparison he probably shouldn’t make, but says Will Ashcroft has the potential to make a similar first-year impact on Brisbane this year as Joel Selwood did at Geelong in 2007.

Matthews said the Lions’ young gun had already made a significant impact at his new club.

“He is so well regarded,” Matthews said on 3AW.
