Leigh Matthews reacts to rumour Damien Hardwick could replace Stuart Dew as Suns coach

Leigh Matthews has reacted to comments made by Caroline Wilson on Suns coach Stuart Dew’s future highlighting Damien Hardwick to potentially replace him.

Mr Matthews told Sam McClure the comments are another instance of a “coaching messiah.”

“I don’t know whether Richmond has been going all that well the last two to three years to think Damien Hardwick is the coaching messiah. If it is getting rid of Stuart Dew … in order to get Damien Hardwick, I think it is false-thinking, I’m not saying it’s wrong,” he said.
