Leigh Matthews’ idea to honour the minor premiership winner each year

Leigh Matthews has come up with an idea to honour the team who finishes top of the ladder at the end of the home-and-away season each year.

The AFL great has been very vocal in recent weeks about the need to reward the top team more than what they are currently.

“I just think there should be more acknowledgement,” Matthews said.
