Leigh Matthews calls out AFL for ‘penny-pinching’ non-Victorian sides
Leigh Matthews had his say on the vastly different experience non-Victorian sides have compared to Victorian sides.
He used his grand final week experience he had as coach of the Lions as an example.
“I remember back in 2001, we didn’t know how we were going to get to Melbourne for the game by Wednesday,” Matthews said.
