Legendary owner Lloyd Williams gives us his Melbourne Cup tips

Legendary owner Lloyd Williams has won the Melbourne Cup on six occasions, including last year with Rekindling and in 2016 with Almandin.

This year he will take Yucatan and Cliffs of Moher into the race.

Ross said he likes Cliffs of Moher, as it’s got “the best trainer in the world and ridden by the best jockey in the world.”

But Williams said he’s got one major concern about Cliffs of Moher.

“He’s a nice horse but I’m a bit worried about him with the 56.5 (kgs) on a soft track,” Williams said.
