Lawyer X office set to disband after prosecutors refused to charge Vic police officers

3AW newsreader Tony Tardio has reported the Lawyer X office will be disbanded after a report found prosecutors refused to file charges against Victorian police officers.

Shadow Attorney-General, Michael O’Brien says the scandal is the biggest the legal system has “ever seen.”

“What I can’t understand is after a Royal Commission, after a two-year special investigation, hundreds of millions of dollars and 5000 pages of evidence that recommended charges is the Labor government has said ‘No one gets charged.'” he told Shane McInnes, filling in for Tom Elliott.
