Killer driver returning to court to have his sentence reduced
A man who killed three people when driving while on ice is returning to court today to have his sentence reduced.
Nei Lima Da Costa was sentenced in September 2014 to 16 years jail, with a minimum of 11.
The court was told at the time Da Costa had taken ice and had been driving recklessly for 14km before he ran over six people.
Three people died, three others were seriously injured.
Sue Parsons’ husband Tony was one of those killed, and she told Neil Mitchell this appeal aggravates the pain she’s suffered.
‘I hate this bastard, believe me,’ she said.
‘He doesn’t know how much I hate him.’
