A mother-of-five who has spent more than 90 per cent of her life in Australia says she’ll ‘die of a broken heart’ if she’s deported.

Kelly Webb, who came to Australia when she was two, is set to be sent back to Britain because of her criminal past.

Ms Webb killed her stepfather when she was just 14 after a childhood of abuse and developed a drug addiction.

She’s been to jail 11 times.

She spoke with Neil Mitchell from her cell at the Maribyrnong Detention Centre on Tuesday.

‘I need to stay in this country,’ she said on 3AW Mornings.

‘I need to work on myself.

‘I need to stay here for my children.’

Neil Mitchell doesn’t believe she should be deported.

‘She is our problem, not the United Kingdom’s,’ he said on 3AW Mornings.

Greg Barns from the Australian Lawyers Alliance spoke in detail with Ross and John about the issue earlier in the morning.
