An Australian journalist who worked with Cheng Lei in China says Australia’s reaction to her incarceration is “a national disgrace”.

Ms Cheng, 48, has been detained in China since August 2020 on vague national security charges.

Former CTGN news anchor Emily Angwin says “we need to be loud, I think we need to stand up to bullies”.
