Josh Frydenberg says there’s ‘no doubt’ lockdowns are worse than Omicron
Federal Treasurer Josh Frydenberg, who tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this month, says there’s “no doubt” lockdowns are worse than Omicron.
Mr Frydenberg received a positive test for the virus on January 7.
He says he’s “on the mend” but has lingering symptoms, including fatigue and headaches.
“There were a few rough nights,” he told Neil Mitchell.
But the Treasurer insists lockdowns are worse than the Omicron strain.
“Lockdowns are worse than Omicron, there’s no doubt about that,” he said.
“That’s why we shouldn’t be going back to even thinking about lockdowns.
“This is a new challenge, a new phase of the virus. I’d love to say to you this is the last variant that we’ll face, but nobody really knows.”
