Jon Anderson told Sydney ‘already knows’ if Gary Rohan and Jarrad McVeigh will play in the preliminary final

Even when winning awards, Jon Anderson is hard at work.

The new AFL media Hall of Famer has been told Sydney ‘already knows’ whether or not injured duo Gary Rohan and Jarrad McVeigh will play in Friday night’s preliminary final.

‘I was talking to a mate last night who is involved with Sydney and said the club already knows whether they’ll be playing or not,’ Ando said on 3AW Breakfast.

‘He wouldn’t tell me any more than that (but)  what does that tell you, if they already know?

‘That tells me they won’t be playing.

‘They couldn’t be that sure now.’

Ando wasn’t the only 3AW identity to taste success at the awards, with 3AW Football’s Tim Lane judged the most outstanding radio commentator.
