Joel Selwood has announced his retirement.
The Geelong premiership captain made the decision public on Wednesday afternoon.

Selwood played 355 games at the highest level (winning a staggering 259 of them) and was part of premiership sides in 2007, 2009, 2011 and again this season.
No player in the history of Australian Rules Football has played in more finals, with Saturday’s grand final the 40th final of Selwood’s glittering career.
He also boasts the record for most games as captain of any AFL/VFL club.
