Joel Selwood believes Harley Reid is being ‘bullied’ by media

Geelong legend Joel Selwood has launched a strong defence of West Coast young gun Harley Reid, who he says is being “bullied” by sections of the media.

Reid was fined $1,000 dollars for flipping the bird at a member of the crowd during West Coast’s clash agaisnt Brisbane last week.

After coming under media heat, Selwood said he felt “really sorry” for the teenager.

“I feel really sorry for the kid right now because he’s 19.

“To be honest, I think he’s getting bullied by the media and there’s a part of me that wants to go over and give him a hug.”
