Jockey Josh Cartwright stood down after ‘reckless’ ride at Morphettville
Australian jockey Josh Cartwright has been stood down after allegedly steering his horse into another rider to allow his girlfriend to win the final race at Morphettville on Saturday.
Cartwright pleaded guilty to reckless riding after the race.
His girlfriend, Anna Jorsjo, rode Murti to victory.
Former star jockey Simon Marshall said he’d never seen anything like it.
‘It’s one of the craziest things I’ve seen on a racetrack,’ Marshall told 3AW.
