Jimmy Bartel voices frustration with current tribunal system

Jimmy Bartel says he’s frustrated with how tribunal hearings such as Rhyan Mansell’s are playing out these days.

Mansell on Tuesday night was bidding to have his three-match ban overturned for pushing opponent Liam O’Connell into a contest in Saturday’s clash.

The Geelong great and Wide World of Sports host said the tribunal’s lack of understanding about how the game plays out is contributing to an overall sense of frustration from fans.

“There is no leeway,” he said on 3AW.

“There is no understanding of the game (from the tribunal) and that drives people crazy.”
