Jimmy Bartel takes Tennis Australia to task

Tennis Australia has copped a whack from Jimmy Bartel after it chose convicted drug cheat Maria Sharapova to promote the Australian Open.

Sharapova was picked to unveil the women’s trophy, with defending champ Serena Williams not in Australia and unable to do so.

Jimmy said Tennis Australia had made a big mistake.

“I understand the WTA has accepted her back, but you’re not the face of the Australian Open,” he said.

“You’re a cheat.”
