Jewish woman details violent attack by ‘unruly mob’ outside Melbourne Town Hall last night
A member of Melbourne’s Jewish community claims she and her husband were attacked by pro-Palestinian protestors outside the Melbourne Town Hall.
The attack happened last night as the City of Melbourne voted down a motion for the council to call for a ceasefire in Gaza.
Sharon called in yesterday, telling Tom Elliott she feared for her safety, and those fears were realised last night.

Victoria Police confirmed there were no major incidents reported but they did move on a number of individuals, including two men who walked through a protest group of more than 200 people. The men did not report being assaulted to police at the time. A man who was filming the rally reported he was kicked in the leg by a protester. Police are reviewing CCTV and encourage anyone who experienced or witnessed prejudice-motivated crime to report it to police.
