Jess Hull ‘still trying to process’ record-breaking run in 1500m ahead of Olympics
EXCLUSIVE
Australian 1500m runner Jess Hull says preparation for the Paris Olympics couldn’t be going any better in the wake of her stunning run at a key lead up even earlier this week.
Hull clocked the fifth fastest time in history at the Paris Diamond League meet, smashing her own personal best time by over five seconds in the same race Faith Kipyegon broke the world record.
Speaking to Shane McInnes on The Olympics Today, Hull admits she’s still coming to terms with the magnitude of her achievement just weeks before the Olympics.

“I think I’m still trying to process it a little bit but yeah, I’m pretty proud of the race that I put out on Sunday night in Paris,” she said.
“I think I’ve been pretty lucky. I’ve had the preparation every athlete dreams of, like where you just keep nailing things and you stay healthy and keep away at things over the course of the whole year.
