Jeremy Cameron opens up on ‘tough’ decision to leave GWS, ’emotion’ of premiership win

Jeremy Cameron has opened up about his “tough” decision to leave Greater Western Sydney at the end of 2020, telling 3AW it wasn’t always a certainty he’d end up at Geelong.

But he couldn’t be happier he did.

The star forward spoke with 3AW in the moments after Geelong won the 2022 premiership.

Cameron said the Cats had allowed him to flourish.

“I think everybody stayed up here on Friday night, except for myself, I went back and relaxed on the farm,” he explained.

“They just let me do what I feel will allow me to play my best football.

“That’s what they promised and they’ve come through massively for me.”
