Jason Akermanis reacts to Joe Daniher’s retirement (and THAT goal celebration from Eric Hipwood!)

Brisbane Lions legend Jason Akermanis has given his thoughts on Joe Daniher’s retirement this afternoon, admitting he wasn’t really surprised by the news.

The triple premiership player with the club also loved Eric Hipwood’s goal celebration in the grand final last Saturday, imitating Akermanis’ iconic celebration in 2005 against Geelong.

“In the end now we’re bonded forever,” Akermanis said about Hipwood.
