James Rowbottom admits he had ‘no idea’ teammate was on cusp of kicking 10 goals!

Joel Amartey made a big statement on Saturday night, kicking nine goals in a career-best performance as Sydney posted a big win over Adelaide.

But teammate James Rowbottom told Wide World of Sports he had no idea Amartey was on the cusp of kicking 10 goals, with the Swans big man spending some of the final quarter on the bench.

“(Brodie Grundy and I) were completely unaware he was on nine goals,” he told Sam McClure and Matthew Lloyd on 3AW.

“I knew he had been dominating but I had no idea!”
